The Friends of San Angelo State Park put on several events throughout the year. Check back here to see what events are coming up and learn more about them. Events hosted by The Friends Include Silver Bluebonnet Day, and the Monarch Trail Ride.

 

Our Friends group also assists Park Staff with other scheduled events such as Holly-Days in the Park, Ranger Claus, Smokey Bear's Birthday and Kid's Eat.

 

Monarch Trail Ride

The Monarch Trail ride is a two day event that takes place each October to coincide with the flight of the Monarch Butterflies that takes place each October.

Saturday Morning

A guided trail ride for those of you who own your own horse with lunch provided on the trail.

 

Saturday Evening

FREE guided hike to see the Monarch Butterflies. Live and silent auction, catered dinner for the general public ($20/plate) and participants (included) in the North Concho Pavilion, with live cowboy music to follow.

 

Sunday

Catered outdoor cowboy breakfast for the general public ($10/plate) and participants (included) in the North Concho Pavilion, Cowboy Church available, entertainment by Diamond H Longhorns and Wagon Rides, Poker Run on horseback with prizes.
